Hi Maxim, Going over old mails in my mailbox, I came over this message of yours which, probably I overlooked then. First of all thanks and apologies for the very long delay. In the mean time I settled for LaTeX. I considered using lyx for a while, to ease the transition (LaTeX is pretty frightening in the beginning). The decisive experiment that ruled against this idea was made, pretty much by chance, when I tried some of the examples from "Guide to LaTeX" by Helmuth Kopka and Patrick Daly. I did it both directly and through lyx, and the ouputs were not identical: I decided to take the bull (LaTeX) by its horns, without any transition stage. With some help from a coleague at work, in English it works allright. I did not need yet to write in Hebrew. I hope that by the time I'll pass that hurdle, the basic use of LaTeX will already be familiar, so that I'll have only to concentrate on the new aspects.
