Hi Maxim,
Going over old mails in my mailbox, I came over this message of
yours which, probably I overlooked then. First of all thanks and
apologies for the very long delay.
In the mean time I settled for LaTeX. I considered using lyx for a
while, to ease the transition (LaTeX is pretty frightening in the
beginning). The decisive experiment that ruled against this idea
was made, pretty much by chance, when I tried some of the
examples from "Guide to LaTeX" by Helmuth Kopka and Patrick Daly.
I did it both directly and through lyx, and the ouputs were not
identical: I decided to take the bull (LaTeX) by its horns,
without any transition stage.
With some help from a coleague at work, in English it works allright.
I did not need yet to write in Hebrew. I hope that by the time
I'll pass that hurdle, the basic use of LaTeX will already be
familiar, so that I'll have only to concentrate on the new
aspects.
Cheers, Avraham
