Thanks, but this doesn't do the change globally (system wide).
If that matters, I have found the answer. Edit /usr/share/config/kdesktoprc and change the section labeled ScreenSaver and change the enabled to false.

By default, the KDE desktop starts a screen server after 10 minutes of inactivity. This is totally redundant, as the windows box has it's own screen saver. Moreover, the screen server demands cpu cycles, which can be better used for the rest of the active users.
I know I can disable screen saver with the KDE menu. My question is How can I disable the KDE screen saver by default (system wide).
