Hi Diego,

Thanks, but this doesn't do the change globally (system wide).

If that matters, I have found the answer. Edit /usr/share/config/kdesktoprc and change the section labeled ScreenSaver and change the enabled to false.

Right click the desktp, configure desktop.... bla blab bla...

but, you have another screen saver running, thats another issue. You need to know who started it and how.

Hi List Members,

I have a Linux server running RedHat ES 3.0. Users are contacting this
server using vnc client on their desktops. The default desktop environment
for them is KDE.

By default, the KDE desktop starts a screen server after 10 minutes of
inactivity. This is totally redundant, as the windows box has it's own
screen saver. Moreover, the screen server demands cpu cycles, which can be
better used for the rest of the active users.

I know I can disable screen saver with the KDE menu. My question is How
can I disable the KDE screen saver by default (system wide).

  T.I.A.
