Apache just freezes once a week (same time, more or less). The time of the freeze is when cron.weekly runs. Manually running cron.weekly does not produce such a freeze.
any ideas what the problem may be or where to investigate further?

I forgot to mention elsewhere - this is Debian Woody, with 2.4.26. The kernel I'm trying is 2.4.29.
