I just checked, and sendsms to Orange still seems to work, so this does
look like your setup's problem [if more people on this list are having trouble
with Orange, please tell me].

Did you try sending a message manually from their own site?
I assume you did.

I think I once heard a rumor that passwords that contain strange characters,
or perhaps spaces, cause problems. Could this be the case?

If you can trust me with your username/password/phonenumber details (I assume
you can change it later, and I promise not to bill Java games to your
account :)), you can send them to me (not to the list!) and I'll try to
debug the problem.
