I apologize for asking this again, but I didn't get any answers to my post of 2 weeks ago and hope maybe someone does know what my problem is.
On a new installation of MDK10.1, SOME (but not all) non-KDE applications run with completely unreadable fonts. For example, j-pilot, usbview and LinNeighborhood are completely unusable because I can't read anything - menues, button text, toolbars, etc. These applications worked for me in MDK10.0 and I can't figure out what I've screwed up. I've GOOGLED and experimented with KDE settings and can't solve this. I'm quite sure the problem is actually X and not KDE because the problem also exists in Gnome (which I don't usually use).
