What do you have set in your nsswitch, especially for the passwd, group and shadow entries?Hi List,
Sorry for our ignorance or should I say we are still on the learning curve, but when I login to our redhat Linux we are getting the following message:
login: Cannot resolve network address for KDC in requested realm while getting initial credentials.
What is wrong on our system and what should we do to remedy this situation.
(I assume you have winbind or ldap there somewhere...)
If so, it's telling you that it cannot find the Kerberos server, which is the same server as the Domain Controller in a Windows 2000 Domain.
Alternatively, you might be using some remote access protocol to login which requires Kerberos authentication (such as SSH with Kerberos support) and it's essentially complaining of the same thing.
