I think that opening a separate mailing list
for [EMAIL PROTECTED] will be the right thing to do.
If you are quiting for linux-il then I think the middleground is just
opening another
mailing list and see what is the join count. If its justified then all will
be ok.
In your email signatures you can remind people on the list to join the other
mailing list
or linked in.
I personally think its best, you should not call quits for a project even if
some people don't
 like it.
If many people don't want this then you could just close the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and
no harm done.
