Whitebox and CentOS rebuild the packages. So there may be some problems
with the rebuild process.

I don't have much experince with those, except one "test" installation
of CentOS that I have set up for a certain Oracle DBA. I recently had a
problem with two oracle services refusing to load because of
"unsupported kernel version" (or something along that lines). After
disabling that test they started working fine.

I did not have to do such ugly things when Oracle was installed, though.
