Hi,
Some bits of info:
I have A80  (I assume the interface should be the same for A85) - it
doesn't work directly, you can't mount it. BTW: as far as I know the
same is with Windows - you need to install a driver to use it....
But GTKAM supports it, so you can browse the pictures / video and
download them using this app. There is a deprecated gnome-vfs module in
that app, if it is ever reinstated you'll be able to browse the pictures
through nautilus...
Personally I would consider A85 advantages over A80. A strong
disadvantage I'm aware of: the LCD screen is statically embedded into
the camera (whereas in A80 it can be turned in almost any direction).

It seems like I have no worries about linux support if I buy that
camera.
Seems like unlike their printers, Canon's digital cameras has no problem

working with linux.
