I am using CVS to manage a third party software (using vendor branches). I also have some local changes that I am maintaining on the HEAD trunk. I now want to branch the HEAD trunk, and control whick local branch contains which vendor branch. >From the documentaion I get that there is no simple way to manage multiple branches on a module with vendor branches. I also read the subversion docs (no experience here) and it seems that the same problem exists there too. Does anyone have experience, or have a way of managing this kind of tree? One solution would be to have different module name for each '"local branch" - but this is pretty lousy since it is far from natural, and worse - it makes me upgrade the vendor changes more than once.. Any ideas?
