Hi, In light of the PGP Web-of-trust key signing party, I'd like to offer an additional opportunity, to get authorized for a Thawte S/MIME (email) certificate -- which's the type of certificate usable in Outlook, Mozilla, Netscape and the real (corporate) world.
Thawte is a certificate authority known and trusted in all major mailers. They're giving out email certificates (signed by them and viewed as "trusted" in all popular mailers!) for free, but will only put your real name in it if some other trusted members assert your identity. This is their idea of Web of Trust. (Yes, there are no hooks attached. They're nice and friendly. They won't spam you and they love open source :) I'm able to assign you some of the points required to be trusted, given you: 1. Sign up ( https://www.thawte.com/cgi/personal/contents.exe ) for free (and remember your Thawte ID :) 2. Bring an ID document, or two (Teudat Zehut, Driver's License, army ID etc.) 3. Leave me a photo-copy (black-and-white is okay) of them. -- If some more notaries (JBA?) would join me on the task, maybe we could bring each one of you to be elligable for a pretty named certificate. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
