In the _Old_ version (Aleph 300) you can connect with Telnet shell. With the _New_ version (Aleph 500) - no more Telnet. Only Web interface. AFAIK - there are only three Universities left with the old version: the Technion, HUJI, and Bar- Ilan. For Bar Ilan - ("inside Info" …) the plan is to move to the new version within a few months (by February 2005). As for the HUJI (Hebrew University) and the Technion - I assume that there’s also a plan to move to the New system. So we won’t have the Telnet way :-( By the way - you can try access all web catalogs via: http://libnet.ac.il/~libnet/malmad-israelnet.htm
