Can you send the "bwurzbur" line from /etc/passwd ? Also (I'm sure it's OK, but anyway) what are the permissions of /bin, /bin/bash ? (should be read+Xecute for all). Also do ldd to /bin/bash and check all dependencies permissions (should be read for all).
