The "usual procedures" come only after mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] They are detailed quite thoroughly in the mail you get as a reply, and amount, in 99% of the cases, to hitting "Reply" followed by "send" on your mail client. The original mail sent to w3c-subscribe can have "subscribe" in the subject, "subscribe" in the body, be empty altogether, or can contain photos of your best friend's father's sister's dog's wedding. It matters naught, the entire body is disregarded.
So, to sum it up. If you want to subscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" at the subject, and follow the instructions given in the return mail.
