Hi!
My family recently switched ISP to Bezeqint, due to the lower rates. This
was a mistake, IMO, because we've encountered many problems so far. Today,
for instance, I tried to find out why shlomif.il.eu.org does not get DNS
lookuped there. I phoned there and was told that a technical support
person will call me. After a long wait, I got a phone call, and she tried
to help me. She was completely clueless - hardly knew what DNS was and
only cared that I could surf the Internet properly, not that the
particular host lookup was faulty. The problem was not solved and I
"solved" it by adding the entry to my /etc/hosts file.
Other things that happen are:
1. Usually there's a slow connection to iglu.org.il, which is especially
distressing since I administer this host, and would like to eat my own dog
food. (and cannot).
2. There's many times a slow connection to vipe.technion.ac.il where I
have an account.
I would like to receive the details (E-mail, Cell-phone, Telephone,
whatever) of one clueful Bezeqint Network Administrator. (or at least a
very clue-ful support person). Someone who can get things going and know
about Internet and UNIX basics as any decent Linux hacker with 2 years of
experience. Nothing less will satisfy me, as one more call with such a
clueless and unhelpful support person will cause me to lose whatever I
have left of my mind.
