"The Haifa Linux Club is a home for Linux users and programmers in
the Haifa area. Haifux stands for Haifa Linux Users Group. "
But what is it really?
>From looking at the logo proposals, it seems that Haifux represents a lot
of ideas. For some, it is the name Haifa plus Linux Club. For some, it
is about helping each other. It may be about Linux in the Technion,
about teaching and learning. Some stress the Israeli angle, or the fact
that Haifux is home to Linux lovers. It may be about the code or about the
community - or all of the above.
Since we want to know which logo would please Haifuxers the most, we
are using the SSD Condorcet voting method
(http://electionmethods.org/CondorcetEx.htm), which is similar to the
Debian voting system (http://seehuhn.de/comp/vote.html) which Alon
Altman recommended.
Basically, this means that we do not ask simply for the "best logo" or
"your three best logos", but we ask you to rank the logos.
This is your time to vote: Please send
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] your list of preferences, in the following
manner:
Each number represents a design, which is a logo or a group of logos, as
seen in http://www.haifux.org/logo.html. Each design is a single
candidate.
Please rank the logos, starting from your preferred logos. If you want
to vote for just one logo, that's fine too.
For example, if
I preferred logo A to logo B, and I preferred logo B to logo C, I would
write:

You do not have to rank all logos. You can simply say:

You can also say what you like least:
