Actually there is a big market these days for PCI (i.e. non AGP) video cards. Many motherboards were made with onboard AGP video, usualy Intel or SIS. They did not have AGP slots. If you want to upgrade to something better, you must buy a PCI video card. The other option would be to replace your motherboard, but then you may have to replace the the processor and memory.
