The situation is: 2 NFS disks (from the same server) are mounted like
this:

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/13]-~-1520% df -m
fsrvr:/ 0 1 0 0% /fsrvr
fsrvr:/rdsk 0 1 0 0% /fsrvr/rdsk

Note that the 2nd NFS mount point is logically on the 1st NFS.

The server stopped to respond (it actually went dead).

when I try to unmount the NFSs I get the following results:

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/13]-~-1521% umount -f /fsrvr/rdsk
Cannot MOUNTPROG RPC: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
umount2: Input/output error
umount: /fsrvr/rdsk: can't write superblock
Exit 1

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/13]-~-1522% umount /fsrvr/rdsk
Cannot MOUNTPROG RPC: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
umount: /fsrvr/rdsk: can't write superblock
Exit 1

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/13]-~-1523% umount -f /fsrvr
Cannot MOUNTPROG RPC: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
umount2: Device or resource busy
umount: /fsrvr: device is busy
Exit 1

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]/13]-~-1524% umount /fsrvr
Cannot MOUNTPROG RPC: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
umount: /fsrvr: device is busy
Exit 1

Anybody knows how to overcome this ?

Ehud.
