When I buy new hardware I make sure its linux complient and I make sure
I can replace it if it won't work after all.
The problem is with older hardware I pick up from people that no longer
use it (which is most of my hardware).
Laptops are a special problem as well.
For example my home gateway is a beige mac G3 my brother stopped using
(and BTW was a bit of a hell to set up the first time but was worth it).
I am still trying to get the adb wacom tablet to work though.
All my graphic cards at home and two scanners are donations from friends etc.
It saves me a lot of money if all those things bother to work.
