Hi Behdad, All I know is that last time ago (which is ages ago) they were starting to think about pango support. I have no idea if they have progressed with it. I can also tell you that in Fedora Core there is only the gnome-print package installed which is based on glib-1 without pango. So I guess that sources is really the place to look for it at this time.
Let me guess that using my paps program (http://imagic.weizmann.ac.il/~dov/freesw/paps) is not really an option...
