Hi, I've been searching, without success, for free (DFSG-sense) he-en and en-he dictionaries for use with my Debian testing install (though I imagine POSIX compliance would enable them to work on any *nix).
Specifically, I'm interested in learning Hebrew and wanted to make use of LaTrine (curses-based LAnguage TRaINEr), which relies upon outside dictionaries to drill the user in language. It's homepage is: http://www.godisch.de/debian/latrine/ and it mainly draws upon the Free Dictionaries Project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/freedict/) for the backend PO files that provide the word maps. Unfortunately, while FreeDict supplies some 50 different language combinations, Hebrew is not among them. However, recent releases of LaTrine _are_ BiDi-compliant, so all we need is the backend. Any help and/or guidance would be gratefully received. Best wishes, Daniel -- Daniel A.
