There are many xDSL standards: ADSL (Asymmetric DSL), SDSL (Symmetric DSL), DSL Lite, DSLAM, G.Lite, HDSL, IDSL, RADSL, UDSL, VDSL and more.
However, AFAIK, each standard is exactly that - a standard.
