Hi,

I replaced my gateway machines few days ago, and everything seems to be ok,
with a small problem.

I get this error in syslog:
Oct 5 11:07:41 witch kernel: eth0: Too much work at interrupt,
IntrStatus=0x0040.

I searched google a bit and people say it's an IRQ conflict issue - which is
not the case here - :

root]# cat /proc/interrupts | grep eth
  9: 5410537 XT-PIC eth0
 12: 2554281 XT-PIC eth1

Another thread told me to look at vmstat 10 output (I don't know much about
vmstat - but here's the output when the machine is idle..)

procs memory swap io system cpu
r b w swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id
 0 0 0 13644 28668 150732 238844 0 1 59 55 233 207 1 1 98

When the machine is really busy (burning cd's for example) the "in" jumps up
to 3000 btw...

I can stream movies without problems through the network (using smb), but when
I do thing like md5sum on iso's or burning cd's - at the end of the job (when
an output should appear - e.g. output of md5sum for example) - the ssh
session get stuck - either in windows (putty, secureCRT) or in Linux
(konsole, vt)..

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Hetz
