This is a good option (for now). It will allow you, if you use cat5e or
cat6 wires to use 10/100/1000 based ethernet.

Yes.

Not really, no, but it can lead to all kinds of issues, depending on the
quality of the signal (for example, sending a file from one place to the
other might fail due to signal problems).

Depends on how you implement it.

Depends on the wireless network equipment, and in any case, should be
tested.

I'd do both (but that doesn't fit into the cheaper part). See, trying to
"force" a solution is never the best way to go.

For example, most of you stationary workstations at home, which are never
moved, don't need wireless, and will do better (performance wise) on a
wired based LAN. However, if you use portable devices as well (for
example, wireless for laptops, palm devices and other PDAs), then those
will do much better with a wireless link, giving you the freedom of
movement that you'd expect from a portable device.

I'd do the wired solution for now, you can always add the wireless later,
and the overall price of wiring the house while being built, when you
already pass telephone and CATV cables through the pipes is negligeable.
