A full fledged rack is too expensive in my view when there should be
cheaper replacements that fulfill my needs.
Can anyone suggest suppliers for the following unit:
1. It could be used as an equipment rack in the sense that it has
shelves where equipment can be put to work. The shelves might not be
rigid in the sense that they might contain holes or made of bars.
This will make the whole thing lighter, hopefully cheaper and also
might help to get cables through. Stability, of course, is still
vital.
2. Must have wheels but still be stable.
3. Cheap.
4. Low self weigh.
5. At most 2 side walls if it has walls at the first place. Preferably
with only bars, not walls, to insure a stable construction.
I guess that a high, mobile unit where one can put his TV set, and
video and stereo equipment is close to what I am looking for. In fact, I
saw such a thing at the catalogue Ikea spread lately in mail boxes in
Tel-Aviv. It is their TUNSTA series. Still, I would like something with
the depth, width and carrying capacity of their shorter model, the
height of their taller model. I would also like it to be cheaper, and
might be obtainable in Tel-Aviv. It could be that cheaper is not likely,
since the prices they wrote are around 425 NIS, but I hope at least to
get something that is better suited to my requirements for the same
price.
Aren't there such units made of plastic or wood, perhaps for self
construction?
