Can't you just use iptables to forward the relevant ports to your son's
computer (static IP is a must) ?

To get the proper commands to iptables, just look at the howto on
www.tldp.org

I did something similar to be able to use edonkey p2p networks as without
port forward I get Low ID constantly. (and that's bad)
