We managed to get sponsorship from Actcom to the August penguin event. As a result, we managed to lower the participation price for non-members to 30 sheqels. I'm hoping that some of the people who could not attend the conference before due to it's price will now be able to attend it.
In addition to that, we sorely need help with advertising at the universities. There are files in various formats available at http://www.hamakor.org.il/august.html. If you can print them out in several copies and distribute them around the campuses (and your work place, and your home, and your friends, etc.). Some signs may already be up, but they are likely to have the wrong price.
Also, I am reminding you all that the quota for CDs given as a gift to people who preregister is not up yet. Send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED], with your email address, name, and the track you intend to take, and you may still manage to win a mini-CD with bootable LNX-BBC 2.1 bootable distro. You can preregister even if you intend to pay for the conference cash at the conference itself!
