Hi,

Well, there's a fix also for Redhat 8 - since Redhat 8 is using RPM 4.1.1
while Redhat 9 is using RPM version 4.2

location: ftp://ftp.rpm.org/pub/rpm/test-4.1.1 - grab all the 8x rpms and
install them - this should do the trick.

As for your question Tzafrir - I talked to few guys already and there were
some shouts inside RH HQ, but no real result from this. Jeff Johnson from
Redhat asked me to pass this fix along.

It seems that this fix is already available for 4 months there but someone
inside Redhat refuses to issue an official errata..

I cannot reveal sources, but this is the beginning of the RPM as we know it
now..

Thanks,
Hetz
