don't know about kword, but something that solved the problem for me under mozilla was a package called xprint (xprt-xprintorg under debian). Look in xprint.org
It is supposed to run over the regular printing system (it also need some kind of lpr underneath) but it is designed to enable printing to postcript file in foraign languages (including hebrew).
