I downloaded 2.4.21 from the Israeli mirror, and untarred it, just to find that all files belong to user & group 573, rather than root.
User 573 doesn't exist on my system.
I changed the ownership on all the files to root, and I think others should take this precaution as well.
Or did I get something wrong?
