X protocol doesn't support sound forwarding which is what things like esd
artsd and so was aimed to solve,
anyhow it is solvable using arts and not too hard to do, read the docs in
kde's site.
(most movie player in linux supports either arts or esd).

I saw somewhere about planns to add sound forwarding to X,
but then again I saw plans to add support for zaix instead of button 4-5
to X long time ago...
