Finally, I got back to Redhat but this time to 8. After succeeding getting online
in RedHat 7.3 I thought I would have no problems at all doing the same on 8.

Well, I wasn't right.

The problem is quite the same as it was with 7.3 although I use the same
script and configuration.

Next time, I will just stick to what works and "shut-up".

Here are the details again:

<details>

After bringing up eth0 + lo:

After runing 'pptp-linux':

PING google.com (216.239.35.100) from 10.40.45.235 : 56(84) bytes of data.

--- google.com ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% loss, time 2999ms

/etc/ppp/options:

lock
usepeerdns

</details>

As you see nothing changed much. I also recall that at some point after messing with
the 'default' routes (deleting/removing/changing) I got a reply from the ping - but - it
was way slow (2 seconds, reply, 6 seconds, reply etc....)

I'm using the netvision-connect scripts modified for Zahav (pns.inter.net.il replacing netvision's
servers, adding 'noauth' to the pptp-linux script and removing the last 3 lines [I also tried adding
them back but it didn't work either]).

It really begins to annoy.

Thanks in advance,
Eliran
