Howdie,

SGI is looking to hire a Software Engineer for a Linux centered project
of high performance graphics support.

SGI, the company previously known as Silicon Graphics, is the maker of
high performance  scalable computers and visualization software and
systems. SGI recently unveiled in LinuxWorld 2003 it's new Linux based
high performance platform known as Altix 3000 which won a best of show
award. This job offer is for a position in a project developed for this
platform. 

This offer is a long term employment opportunity and is not suitable for
consultants and outside of company workers.

Work will be done mostly in SGI's R&D center in Herzelia. Work maysystem
involve travel to SGI HQ in Mountain View, California, as a well as
other locations.

Note: the work involves working with and on proprietary software and
requires signing of an NDA.

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

- Be fun to work with.
- Be able to think and enjoys doing so.
- Have good communication skills and very good English.
- Be experienced software engineers and have a good track record of
partcipating in diverse non trivial development projects.

Applicants must have at least one (more is a definite boon!) of the
following:

- Thorough system level knowledge of Linux (or similar) systems.
- Experience in developing device drivers.
- A solid background in computer graphics in general and OpenGL
specifically.
- Experience with the IA64 architecture.
