Gee, does it takes THAT much time from the GTK/GNOME camp to come up with a front end to M.A.M.E? A KDE version was available since version ... hmm... 2.1 ;) Seriously, M.A.M.E is NOT an emulator of an Atari - it emulates those old big console machines (not home consoles) with games starting from PacMan, Donkey Kong, etc (it support hundred of games already) and it's Linux/Unix port is available (and updated) for more then 3 years now. It's also a great example (if you look at the code) for good processor emulation (where are those days were things were simple.. User mode, Supervisor mode, 16 registers - yup, Motorola 68000 processor).
