Hello Omer, > > As I said, that was my impression back then when I did beta testing of VMWare 1.0 (it was on the newsgroup I think) > > So you used obsolete data in your arguments?!
As I said, it was in 1.0, I have written that I'm not sure about the current license. > So, do check the 3.2 EULA before basing your arguments upon obsolete > licenses. You're right. > I concede that $299 > $50, but I'd look for an independent confirmation > that Microsoft allows people to install and run IE browsers in a system > without an associated MS-Windows license. Microsoft cannot tie Internet Explorer to run only under native Windows, or else they'll be quicker then you think in the Antitrust case all over. I have checked that with CodeWeaver's CEO. > What about the other browser versions, which Michael needs? Can you > say the same thing about the other versions? Using VMware, he can rely upon native MS-Windows > support of the corresponding browser version, without further testing. So far, I have tested version 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0SP1. All seems to work perfectly ok. I also suggested michael to take 30 minutes and try working with Crossover before spending money on a VMWare license.
