Hi everybody, The details of the informal dinner with Richard M. Stallman follow below. The people who sent RSVPs will get them in a separate email as well, just in case some of them don't read the lists regularly. I hope those who do will tolerate a duplicate.
If anyone suddenly decides he or she wants to join us, please send us an RSVP to the addresses in the signature below. Please use both addresses for redundancy, and put "RSVP: Dinner with RMS" as subject. * When: Jan 8, 2003, starting at 19:00. * Where: "Nafis", Galgalei HaPlada 3, Herzlia Pituach, 09-9563621. They will let us use the gallery upstairs so we will be separated from the rest of the customers and won't scare them too much ;-) Everyone orders and pays for him/herself, and there is a minimum of NIS 35 per person. Food - Israeli/Mizrakhi: jachnun, malawah, and the likes, meats, soups, humus, etc. * Directions: whether you drive from North or South exit at Tsomet ha-Sira from Kvish ha-Hof, and you'll find yourself in the Industrial area of Herzlia Pituach. If you are coming from the South, from the direction of Tel Aviv, you will pass under Kvish ha-Hof and find yourself in ha-Galim Avenue. Take the first turn to the right to ha-Maskit St. Carry on for one block, and on your left you will see a big open parking lot. It is free after 7PM. To enter the parking lot you need to go all the way around it, i.e. leave it on your left, turn left, left, and left again (the parking lot is on your left all the time), and you'll see the entrance next to the guard's hut. There should be plenty of space. The Galgalei ha-Plada Street is parallel to ha-Maskit, but on the other side of the parking lot. Go back in the direction of ha-Galim Ave. (you should see a big red Kodak sign in front of you), and you'll see Nafis on your right in 60 to 90 seconds If you are coming from the North, you exit to the right into Pituach, and the first *available* turn to the left (it's the second street, the first one is ha-Maskit, but it is one-way and you cannot turn left there) is Galgalei ha-Plada. Continue until you see the parking lot on your left, pass it and turn left to enter the parking lot. Continue along Galgalei ha-Plada on foot to Nafis. For those of you who do not have cars and want to take a bus or a "sherut". From the North just about any bus should stop at Tsomet ha-Sira. Normally they take the exit and stop right after the junction practically on the corner of ha-Galim. Walk along ha-Galim (to the sea) for two blocks to Galgalei ha-Plada. From Tel Aviv buses like 501 or 502 to Herzlia go from the Central bus station along Derekh Namir. From TAU you can walk to namir along Einstein St. and catch a bus there. Verify with the driver that the bus stops at Tsomet ha-Sira. get off the bus there, cross the junction under the bridge, and you are in ha-Galim Ave. -- Oleg Goldshmidt | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
