What software package are you using? I have such ups myself and use the nut package. However Advice is not willing to release the communication protocol. There fore, although the nut has all the critical functionality implemented, there are some missing parts. In addition, my model (Partner/King PR750) has no direct indication for the duration that the battery will last in case of a power failure. I hope that the original poster will ask the sales persons not only for Linux compatibility but also an openness of the communication protocol. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Skliarouk Arie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, December 30, 2002 12:50 PM > Subject: UPS recommendations > > > > Hello, > > > > We are looking for UPS recommendations that would fit following criterias: > > > > 1) Connection between the UPS and computer is made using TxD and RxD pins > > ONLY (except ground).
