This is all dedicated servers running "off the shelf" software (except
may be the "number crunchers" what are they used for ?).
What are the servers for the TAU legacy software (students records
management and the like) ?

The real difference between legacy software (representing the
organization memory and assets) and external ("shelf") software
is: the latter can be replaced (very) easily by other software for
the same purpose.

Linux real progress will be only when companies/institutions will
move their business running software to linux servers.
