Many newer disks can be jumpered for 'delayed start', some even let
you choose between more then one delay (let's say, 3 disks with no
delay, 2 with 5 seconds, 2 with 10 seconds - I think most power
supplies will make that). Of course, expensive hardware RAID cards
have more options ...
