If that DID happen (and it hasn't--the posts, I mean, not the job losses :( ) then there would be an argument for a linux-il-jobs list. However, I'm sure a lot less people would be exposed to what would be posted there. The nature of mailing lists makes it very easy to skim over the headers and ignore the ones that are of no interest. Thus, a few "I am looking for work" posts do not bother me.
