its responsible if you make sure the owner understands this is a "bleeding 
edge" software, and therefor, not a very stable \ tested one.
if its ok with him, why not ?

what i meant was that users that are having problems with windows machines 
that they purchased in a computer store, are seeing the person who installed 
windows as the responsible factor, and will call him to ask questions.
this is not the case here, and people should know that once they take their 
newly installed computer and go home, they can only ask questions on mailing 
lists (and friends). no one will take responsibilaty for ANYTHING that was 
done to their machine.

i still think that as long as the subject understands the implications, he 
should be able to choose if he wants to "live on the edge" or not.
