90% price drop in Israel? Or did you mean 90% price drop in ebay? Does anyone sell PCMCIA card under $100 in Israel? What about base stations under $150? > > Disadvantages: > > 1. Several tools exist to break WEP within minutes or hours (depending on several mitigating factors). That's not a reason not to use it around the house, though. Unless you fear your neighbors will spy on you (very unlikely IMO) your range will probably not be enough for war-driving. > 2. Bandwidth: don't expect 100Mbps. But this raises a question: can Eli or anyone else here recommend a good wireless base station that is: A. cheap B. has a good range? Mine barely has reception for 3-4 meters and even then connection breaks pretty often. Granted, I bought the cheapest I could find, but still, I'm extremely disappointed. -- Aviram Jenik Beyond Security Ltd. http://www.BeyondSecurity.com http://www.SecuriTeam.com Know that you're safe: http://www.AutomatedScanning.com ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
