Mayan, Great Initiative - I think that actually doing something postive instead of bitching about this wierd demented country is excatly what I've been looking for for quite a while. I'll be happy to join (Natanya,Lod,Ramla) - or help with establish the Tel Aviv Center.
Linux - Il- I don't think dissectting this in a technological level immediatly is the wise path, the development vs internet debate is irelevent because - as stated by Mayan: "There is a project called Tapuah ( http://www.tapuah.org.il ) that is aimed at helping introducing the internet to people from a low socioeconomical status." The whole idea here is focusing on providing internet access to people that don't have that access and try to enrich their world - even if it's through getting some soccer results in some sport forum. Only after we know exactly what hardware we have for this cause can we start the mini browser wars. I've put up a wiki in my homepage discussing what we can do and organize and document our ideas in these matters people can register there as well and state what their willing to do to aid the purpose ...
