I attemted to do the same and for me it was hard too. And not just
Windows-literate but a programmer with years of experience, so.....maybe I
am a poor instructor.

I also spent 2 years working as support person and eventually the 'manager'
Hetz referred to, and I have gave support to Linux users. Usually manager is
a person who has the most experience and some managing skills, so manager
may actually know Linux or at least willingly admit that there is a problem
on his side, which regular support person will never tell you as they are
not allowed to in most cases.
