Have you encounter problems of source dependencies (some package
depends on some versions which conflict with other packages?)
Even if you hadn't these sorts of problems, is the gentoo team 
guarantees that such problems will be avoided?

What about configurations? How much time, if at all, you had to spend
for reading documentation in order to configure the packages properly?
