Not always, but often, Unix hardware that cost 5000-10000$ some years ago also went through very intensive reliability tests. My Indy is from 1995, has 2x1GB SCSI hard disks, and none of them causes any problems (of course, they are not in too much use being only an XTerminal). It was used as a small server in a company until 2 years ago (when I got it). They gave me the monitor only because it can't connect to a PC - newer SGI hardware connects with standard 15Pin VGA connector. Lucky me. > The memory is most likly small.
