Since we're sharing experiences, here's mine:
- We've worked with Bezeq Int for quite a while. They had their bad times
(the times Shachar is talking about) but they seem to have straighten up
since. In fact, we're running what may be one of the busiest web sites in
Israel (over 1,000,000 page views a month, several thousand subscribers on a
5 times a day mailing list) from their colo farm and hadn't experience power
failure, network failure or stupidity in quite a long time. So I'd really
recommend them despite everything.
[to prove that, we have taken out our personal UPS that we started using
after several power failures. We were really convinced it's not necessary
anymore and that seems to be the case].
Plus, they are nice enough to restart the machine or give you a hand when
you come at Friday 1AM or generally cooperate when there is something you
need and is serious enough (even if it's not in their written list of
services).
- We've been in Fiasco for years, and I can only recommend this service to
anybody. We only left when we felt we've become over-commercialized. It's
inexpensive, very reliable, and a nice way to get things done fast without
having to administrate it yourself on one hand, and to have the ability to
configure everything you need without help on the other.
- I have good things and bad things to say about Actcom. This and my
experience in BezeqInt showed me that either my standards are too high or
the Israeli standard of service is really low. However, I image Actcom are
ok for the casual user.
- I can't say anything about the other providers (except for hinting that
we've considered most of the others and rejected them for various reasons).
