No. That's not what I think or said. I think you staticly map 127.0.0.1 to your hostname. Just to prove that I'm not a Microsoft basher though, DHCP itself was their idea (expanded from BOOTP, but still) and it's a damn good idea. The problems with microsoft was never their programers, the problem with Microsoft is with the managers. Indeed they are not the only company that suffers from this inflication too.
