Hi,

In the upcoming short time (1-3 weeks) there will be a new version of
CrossOver office.

Thanks to Shachar patch, we got there hebrew keyboard support, and thanks to
CodeWeavers - the fonts handling is much better (and also the fonts hinting
are turned on since CodeWeavers licensed the fonts patent from Apple), so you
can read both hebrew and english fonts..

The new features in terms of Israeli users are the following:

* Word 97/2k support - hebrew there seems to work, but you cannot use the CTRL
SHIFT key binding to right align or left align the text - you can do it with
the standard aligning keys/icons. So far, I have been able to read/write
hebrew documents without much problems.

* PowerPoint - same thing. You can read/write/create PowerPoint presentations.

* Internet Explorer 5/5.5 (not 6.0 yet) fully supports read/write hebrew in
right-to-left/left-to-right - just like in standard windows...

missing: excel hebrew support - which gives hebrew in reverse (since it seems
MS has implemented stand alone bidi in explorer, word, powerpoint, but not
excel)..

In order to be able to use hebrew, make sure you setup your hebrew keyboard
correctly (either through KDE kcontrol or with setxkbmap)..

This message is NOT posted to encourage buying the CrossOver Office package
(it's commercial - costs $54.95), but just to answer some people questions
about crossover office and hebrew MS office.

Thanks,
Hetz
