hi, installed bidi-openoffice.org-1.0.0-5.i386.rpm, and this is what happends when starting soffice :
$ openoffice running openoffice setup... /usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstlport_gcc.so.4.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory setup failed.. abort OpenOffice.org could not be started - /home/tal/.openoffice/soffice is not available You appear to already have an older verion. Please remove these entries from /home/tal/.sversionrc and try again. You may also need to remove /home/tal/.openoffice if there is an incomplete installation there. Contents of .sversionrc: $ i had 641 installed. i removed it using the setup, re-installed the rpm. looks like ~/.openoffice was not created. not in my home directory and not in root's directory. so i removed ~/.sversionrc, and got : $ openoffice running openoffice setup... /usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstlport_gcc.so.4.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory setup failed.. abort OpenOffice.org could not be started - /home/tal/.openoffice/soffice is not available what is causing ~/.openoffice not to be created ? the rpm install went just fine. -- ----------------------------------------------- [root@localhost /]# make love make: stop : dont know how to make love [root@localhost /]#ls Amir Tal, ICQ : 15748705 http://www.whatsup.org.il ----------------------------------------------- ================================================================To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
